First Round: Derek the Decoy vs. Devon the Delightful

Derek loads his bow and unleashes a fury of arrows on Devon. Devon quickly kneels down and absorbs the arrows with his shield as Derek slowly inches forward. When Derek gets halfway to Devon, he quickly puts his shield away and unsheathes his katana hoping to catch Devon off guard, but Devon pulls out his crossbow that was hid behind his shield and lets loose a bolt right into Derek’s chest. Derek staggers but stays on his feet. Devon puts away his crossbow and shield, but before Devon has enough time to pull out a new weapon, Derek is attacking him. Devon uses his clawed gauntlets to defend most of the blows, but both warriors receive many deep cuts. Devon is able to eventually disarm Derek and Derek resorts to his sais. Devon then pulls out his war axe and the two go at it. Derek is barely able to hold off Devon as he comes at him with incredible strength. Each blow from Devon’s war axe jolts Derek’s arms as he barely blocks each blow. Derek brings one of his sai in but Devin blocks them while holding his axe in one hand. Derek then brings the other sai in towards Devon’s head while their other weapons are locked. Devon leans to the side holding his axe firm and pulls a hidden dagger from his boot. Derek’s swing misses and puts him slightly off balance. This gives Devon an opportunity to attack and he does just that. Pulling himself up to full height he slices off Derek’s hand. Devon’s axe is not released as Derek’s severed hand and sai fall to the ground. Derek doubles over in pain as he clutches his bloody stump. Devon knees Derek in the face causing him to straighten back up, his face covered in blood. Devon pulls his war axe back to his ear and lunges it forward with both hands skewering Derek’s head upon its large spike. Devon releases his weapon and the weight of his axe pulls Derek’s dead body to the ground. Winner: Devon the Delightful
